Strengthening Tanzania's emergency healthcare
So Medical Company Limited is a Tanzanian-registered company established in 2024, dedicated to strengthening national emergency medical services through the supply, local assembly and re-engineering of ambulances, medical kits and critical medical equipment. Our primary facility is being established in the Tanga Region under a Manufacturer Under Bond framework, reducing dependence on fully imported ambulances and improving fleet availability and after-sales support.
The initiative is delivered in partnership with Avtoprom Ltd, an internationally certified ambulance manufacturer holding ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications, with a track record of supplying over 1,000 ambulances a year to institutions including UNOPS, UNDP, the World Bank and the Red Cross. This ensures every vehicle meets recognized international standards for patient safety, infection control, ergonomics and clinical functionality.

Toyota Land Cruiser 78 ambulances assembled and configured for Tanzania's urban, rural and hard-to-reach conditions.
Fleet refurbishment & re-equipping
Upgrading existing, mechanically sound ambulances with compliant medical equipment, safety systems and modern life-support.
Medical equipment supply
Supply and installation of ambulances, medical kits and critical emergency equipment to Ministry of Health specifications.
